Are there major differences between 3rd and 4th edition? I have 3rd edition which is about 270 pages.

I looked up 4th edition on amazon and its about 392 pages

    What did they add??

You know how in the 3rd version, there are teeny tiny tables at the end of each chapter? In the new version the tables are enlarged to become more readable (so it takes up way more pages). The drugs sections are obviously going to be updated. Other than that, I didn't notice any huge differences while flipping through it at the bookstore. I think the 3rd edition is sufficient (which is the version I have too).... but perhaps someone else has compared the versions more thoroughly?

They added an updated chapter on the prions and new drugs. That's all.
