Its that time of year again, Just wondering if anyone has any insights into good programs for EEG major fellowships. looking to stay in North east or midwest. Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the big ones, ie clevland clinic, nyu, columbia, brighams, MGH, Tufts and also UIC, Rush, U of Chicago. What are the programs like? What are the faculty like? How malignant is the program? Is there any teaching e.t.c. Any thoughts would be helpful. Also does it matter if the goal is pvt practice?

Much appreciated.

I would like to know this info too! Thank you

Here are some of the well established neurophysiology programs in east coast:

Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, Columbia, MGH & BIDMC(both Harvard)

All of them have excellent track record.

Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic and Columbia are more service oriented and are extremely busy program.

MGH and BIDMC encourages research in the second year and provides flexibility in preparation for academic or private practice.

BWH (yet another Harvard program) is worth thinking about as well. Anthony Amato and Steven A. Greenberg are rock-stars from what I hear.

does anyone know the rough timelines for these programs, like is June too late to send an application for a fellowship beginning in July 2012

Dont forget Case Western.
It has Hans Luders as the Epilepsy department head.
4 fellows per yr.+ 3-5 research fellows.
Separate adult & Pediatric EMUs.
Intraoperative EEG experience.
Neurological ICU experience.
2 month EEG interpretation course mandatory for all residents & fellows.
