Very little... most clinical research coordinators will enroll patients into trials and gather information just as a scribe would do. There is very little role into thinking and/or designing the clinical trial, what the results mean, doing pre or post-hoc analysis, or putting together the manuscript. While the latter actions are part of what clinical research fellows do, it is highly unlikely that a CRC contributes as much as if you were doing the same role in a bench laboratory. Having said that, I have seen research lab technicians who never led a project or were presenters of the project in a national conference. That is why we insist in poster presentations, particularly as 1st or 2nd authors, it is a proxy for leading a project.
