Hi, I currently have around 350ish clinical hours from volunteering at two hospitals. I was looking for clinical jobs and have been offered jobs by two private clinics (one as a medical assistant) and the other as a clinical research coordinator (for a private allergy clinic). Kinda in a tough situation because I think I can always use more clinical experience but also weary whether the clinical research coordinator position would count as clinical experience.

I have around 750 hours of research (100 hours in a optometry lab and 650 in a wet lab where I have a second author pub) but I know more research is valued by top schools.

What is your previous clinical experience? Is it hands on? Do you interact with patients? What would you be doing in each of these new options?
