Just read this on APA's site..does this usually mean closing of the program or they just don't want to pay to be accredited?

Canadian ones don't count; the APA and CPA are phasing out APA accreditation of Canadian schools. Not sure what to make of those other ones. I'm a counseling psych student, and I NEVER recall hearing anything out of Stanford's counseling, so maybe they're just merging and that explains that one. My guess would be that's what happened to the counseling and school psych programs on that list.

Can you post the link to this page? I couldn't find it on the APA's website. Thanks!

Thanks for posting the link...I had been looking to see if a state college near me had a PhD school psych program but they weren't on the list because for now, they only offer a SL masters. They are accredited by the NASP but since the APA only does PhD, it wouldn't matter.

I had heard Yehsiva wasn't funding well at all the last few years but was surprised to see NYU.

NYU's program no longer exists, that's why 🙁
