Columbia - Letter of Recommendation from professor not taken?

Hello everyone!

I need another science letter. Does anyone know if I can ask a professor for whom I have TA'd for? Also, in my university, the anatomy course was split, the first half taught by one professor and the second half by another. I already have a letter of rec from one of them, could I ask the other professor too. ( I have LA'd for both of them)

It's fine unless they specifically state that it needs to be from someone who provided instruction. IIRC I submitted a letter that didn't fit their exact recommendations yet here I am
