Columbia News from Early January Interviews

Hey all...

I had a Columbia Interview on Jan 6th and I'm pretty sure they said they would let us know on Jan17th, but I still have not heard anything. Has anyone heard from Columbia that had an interview in early Jan??

during my interview last Friday, Dr. McManus kept on insisting that it's really difficult for them to know exactly when they will give the applicants the results. a 1 1/2 week turnaround time is a bit unrealistic IMO. Maybe they had a higher deposit turnout than expected for the 1st batch(hopefully not)? They're trying to give a fair chance to all applicants and they probably don't want to just accept a ton of students while not giving the late January and February interviewees any chance.

by the way, are people from Laguna Beach really THAT spoiled?

Yeah.. it seems like it would take longer than what they said. I just don't like it when they give you an exact date and then they don't follow up. I would have rather have had them tell me it would take a month if it really would. Oh well... And about Laguna Beach... There are some very spoiled people and some very unspoiled people too. It just depends. It definitely seems like they exaggerate the spoiled factor on the show.

I interviewed in December but didn't hear anything from them yet.
Patiently waiting here hoping no news is good news

Hey whats up, (this is my first post) yea! I was @ that interview too, In fact I sat right next to you (to your left). Some of the letters went out Feb 1st and the second, I believe they send them out in batches, I got a call asking me to verify my mailing address. I got In!!!! 😀 Hope you do too. Good luck. It finally feels good to give back some usefull info after pillaging this site for just that as an unregistered user . Good luck everyone.

Yeah, but Stony Brook is right up there too, got an interview with them in a couple days, gonna see how that goes. But this columbia acceptance is what i've been waiting for, feels good. Good luck.
