Columbia Off Campus Housing

So...I'm an incoming D1 @ Columbia and I just found out I didn't get on campus housing. BUMMER! I mean, I'm category 1 (from TX) and I sent it in right away. I'm not sure what happened.

But anywho, I was wondering if there was any advice on looking for apartments near campus. I want to be as close as possible but not spend a fortune. Also, are there any furnished apartments? I looked around a little bit but didn't see much...

Also, what's the best way to find a roomate? (living alone is not preferable for me...)

Did you join the facebook group for columbia dental class of 2012? I think there were some people looking for classmates..
