AAARGHHH that AMCAS! When I took the MCAT last April, I coded Columbia in among the non-AMCAS schools to receive my MCAT score. Now Columbia sent an email about the lack of this requirement. Does this mean I will have to pay AMCAS to send the score, after all the pains wrestling with their system?

On the bright side, Columbia has began processing and interviews should start soon. I'm crosing my fingers.

how do u know they have begun processing? I sent everything a month ago and I havent heard anything 🙁

Maybe your application is complete. You can contact Columbia (email: [email protected]). Basically, they received my transcript and photo and that they have begun processing applications. Did you send the MCAT scores the way I did?

now I'm worried too . . . my Columbia application was done a long time ago, and everything should be there except my letters of rec, which my school is slow about sending. Are you guys's letters already there? I didn't get an e-mail either. I did designate them to receive the scores. That didn't cost as long as there were fewer than 5 or something like that anyway, right?

I got a snail mail from the MCAT people saying that they've finally sent my scores off to Columbia. I had faxed them roughly three weeks before. However, only one of my profs has actually sent his letter in... I'm still waiting for the other two, whom I will remind in a few days as I am getting pretty nervous!

I know they have everything...cuz I certified it.....and the letter of recs went priority...so they can't possibly not have it.... 🙁

i called the lady two days ago, cuz I didnt hear anything and she said somethin to the effect of "Don't call us, we will call u" or something to that effect...

she did say, that pple whose file was incomplete were only notified?

so go figure 😕

I just submitted my online app. for Columbia...does anyone know exactly what else we have to send them? My check, transcript, MCAT scores, letters of rec, and photo...am i missing anything? Also, did you guys send the check and the photo together? 😕

Just to let everyone know, from what I've heard, Columbia doesn't use rolling admissions. I think they wait until sometime in the spring and make all their decisions then, so I don't think it's all that important to get all of this stuff in as soon as possible.

I also just got a postcard from Columbia stating that my MCAT scores are still missing, even though I put them down at the time I took the April MCAT. I tried calling the MCAT Score Release #, and the recording said: "doo doo doooo - this number has been disconnected..." For those in the same boat as me, what have you done?? 🙁

So I submitted my Columbia stuff on July 10, and my file *should* be complete as far as everything else. I've received no feedback from them whatsoever, save the e-mail that says my online thing went through. Should I be concerned? I hate to call and be annoying, but would they contact me if it wasn't complete or if it was complete?
