According to your post, there seems to be only one of the official PCAT tests that you will provide. Is this correct?

In terms of having an online classroom, will the online classroom have people who can answer my questions if I were to take the course? During the online class, will there be problems that students can do online (in the middle of a lecture)? Will there be additional problems we can work on if we feel that we need help in one area? Are we allowed to ask for help or clarification? Also, since everything is online, are we allowed to access the class from anywhere as long as we're connected to the internet?

Have any of the professors taken the PCAT? I'm very interested.

Also, for each professor giving the lecture, will we be able to know what each professor's background is and what their research focus is? Are the lectures downloadable?

To answer your questions, yes, you'll be provided one official PCAT test from Pearson.

This course is fully interactive, so if you don't understand something, you can ask the professors questions during their lecture. The lectures usually include sample questions that the professors will ask you to do. They'll then help you work through it to find the right answer.

As this is an online course, you can attend from anywhere in the world, as long as you have broadband Internet access. We had a participant join us from Paris, France last year for one of our courses.

Have any of our professors taken the PCAT? No. They're not in pharmacy. They are professors that teach General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biology and Math. They've developed a curriculum around the subject areas that have been defined by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) as subject areas covered by the PCAT.

When the course becomes available, it will include a summary of the course as well as provide bios for all professors in the program.

The live lectures are recorded and made available to you for 1 month after the completion of each lecture. They are viewable, but not downloadable. They are the intellectual property of the University of Missouri - Kansas City as well as the professors that teach each lecture.

This interactive classroom sounds like it will have some crazy computer requirements. Do you know yet what kind of PC will be necessary to "attend" class?

The requirements are actually quite simple. You need to have a PC with an OS no later than XP. From there, you have the option of downloading a free client software from Microsoft to allow you to attend the lecture and to receive sound via VoIP.

If you don't want to install the client software or if you're using a Mac, there's a web access version of the software that you can use. It doesn't support VoIP but we have a conference call number for you to call and listen to the lecture.

If at anytime you don't understand something, you can ask questions via the Instant Message feature on the software.
