Community College

Will attending community or junior college before transferring to a university hurt my chances of entering medical school? From what I understand the school attended (not just the gpa achieved) is one of the things that is considered. If this is true, can anyone recommend any undergrad schools in Texas that would be looked upon favorably? Thanks!

Just wanted to quickly say that I got into 3 of 6 schools applied to (waitlisted at 2 others) and that after doing my first two years at a community college (I did all of my med school prereq's those first 2 years also!) and they might ask you to explain why you chose that route during interview but apparently if you pull of great grades at the CC (in my case 4.0 overall) and decent MCAT's this will level the playing field...I'm sure some schools won't be happy but apply to a range of course!! all of schools were MD btw
