So i took the DAT today and this is what popped out at the end.

PA: 16 31.2 percentile
QR: 16 65.3 percentile
RC: 19 67.6 percentile
Bio: 19 83.5 percentile
GC: 20 89.7 percentile
OC : 21 89.7 percentile
TS: 20 91.3 percentile

sGPA 3.14 GPA 3.2

will schools even look at me? or since its already late july and it takes 3 months to retake the exam, save my money and apply for 2012?

I don't know about that... I've heard a lot of schools don't really care about the QR and PAT scores... you should do some research on which schools those are because I think a 19AA is pretty solid despite the low QR/PAT. If you feel that you have a strong application then I'd give it a shot. Some schools have automatic cut off points so you might be wary of that as well.

i always thought PAT was pretty important since its almost always listed as one of the stats alongside GPA, sGPA, AA, and TS. But don't quote me on anything and do what you think is right. 19 AA is an average score.

Thank you Freeskier for the encouragement, ever since i got home from the testing center i went onto SDN to see how other people scored and saw scores like 25+. I was about to reach for my belt and hang myself in the closet! :( but i'm just going to send the scores in and see what comes back, and if nothing comes back retake the DAT again and do more extracurriculars. Just because I'm not the best on paper, doesn't mean i won't be the best in the real world.

Yo, I got 18's for AA and TS and a 17 PAT. Those are some pretty crappy scores, but I thought to myself: many schools have AVERAGES around that so maybe I'll dazzle them in another part of my application. Don't mope, life goes on and you never know what could happen.

You should at least try to apply to schools with low gpa requirements. The way I see it is that they're averages, so a school of 100 would have 50 above and 50 below the posted averages.
grats on your 19 and gl!

I think it's definitely too early to lose hope! Some schools have an average DAT of 18 or 19, so you still have a shot. Especially if you have a strong application in other aspects, like good shadowing/volunteer/working experience, you'll probably be fine.

Be prepared to rock that interview!

Your "more extracurriculars" is going to do as much good as getting a lower DAT score the second time around.

Eh, I would definitely put out your application. The QR score isn't going to hurt that bad, the PAT definitely is sub-par but apply to some smart choices and you might net an interview or two. Don't waste this year.

That's actually not what an average is, at least not according to my 3rd grade math teacher.

LOW QR applicants! REPRESENT!!!

j/k
I think 19 is pretty good considering the avg of accepted is about 19, there are probably more 18s than there are 19+ considering it's much harder to score over 19 than under 19. And since there are people getting in with 22+, there are probably MANY students who get in with DAT below 19
