computer based testing is the worst...
I did it with the GRE and my scores on the CBT were substantially lower than my paper scores.
Reading comprehension is a big pain in the a$$ on a computer screen. Scrolling through a passage takes a long time and is distracting. I like have the text right in front of me on paper, where i can mark it up if necessary.
Plus (at least with the gre)they determine your score with a fraction of the questions that they normally use for scoring on the paper version. I know they say that the test is standardized, calibrated, tested on thousands blah, blah, blah... but i think with some many fewer questions, luck becomes a bigger factor. If you get one question on the computerized version that you don't understand it penalizes you way more than it does on the paper exam.
The move to the computer is only to convience the test scorers, it has nothing to do with the test takers. Down with CBT!
