Hey everyone! All of the student run clinics in the NY metro area are coming together to host a concert as a fundraiser, hoping to raise enough to keep them going for the next school year. It will be held at Webster Hall, a popular nightclub in Manhattan, on May 21st. The bands are still being finalized and I will keep posting information as it solidifies, but here is the website we just started:

and here is the facebook event, feel free to RSVP/join:
    http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=16729655843
and the event will have a myspace page within the next few days, which i will post a link to asap. Please consider coming if you're in the area, and whether or not you can go, you probably know a few people who live in or around NYC and would be interested, so let them know! There will be gift bags (possibly including chanel products) for those holding VIP tickets, there will be amazing donated items raffled off, and some pretty awesome bands.

PS mods sorry if this wasn't the right place to post such an event, but i figured current medical students were the group that would be the most interested. If you must move it i'll understand.

      Bumping...
We now have posted all of the acts playing, you can buy tickets online (cheaper than buying at the door) you can donate a dollar or a few dollars if you can't make it on the website, you can see our sponsors, get as much info as you want, etc. Please consider coming!!! we need support! you know how great of an opportunity these student run clinics are in getting real clinical experience and feeling like you've made a difference in the uninsured community, even if it's small. But these clinics really are opportunities for us as students, so please just get the word out! Thanks.
