Does anyone know...after you have been accepted to the school you plan to attend, do you have to keep taking classes? I have already completed my prerecs and graduated, but I was going to take classes this year (in case I wasn't successful) and indicated this on my AMCAS. Do I have to follow through and take these classes, or can I save on tuition and start making money for med school?

Any advice from those who have been there or those that know is greatly appreciated!

Do you have a CONDITIONAL acceptence? If so, what are the conditions? You may have a college degree and the prerequisites, but unless they set specific conditions you are home free and clear. What is likely is that you received a standard letter of acceptance sent to everyone with a generalized warning to those who may not yet have earned a degree, for example, or other requirements. If you are concerned, call the medical school and find out what it means; they know what their letter means and they won't bite you. You shouldn't be asking us.

No, I don't have any special "conditions" on my acceptance. And I am asking on this forum because alot of helpful people who have been through this difficult process provide great answers. I also don't want to call up the school and say "hey, since I'm in can I doing something completely different than what I said I was going to do this year without you kicking me out?" Call me crazy, but I am a bit reluctant to ask the adcom about this.

Anyway, thanks for your response. I did receive the standard letter, so I guess I am okay. I just am still in disbelief and waiting for this acceptance for which I have worked so hard to get taken away.
