I have a friend who is about to begin rotations at Coney Island hospital. He has never been to the area and is wondering where he should live. He isn't sure how to go about finding a place long-distance. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Start with the rotations co-ordinator,he/she may have some info. available, since other students have similar situations. If they can't help, they may be able to help you get in touch with someone who could. When I rotated in Boston, I researched on the internet, just type in Real Estate, Rentals, and location and that may get you started. I, also rotated in Queens and the hospital provided rooms for us. Not fancy, but you sure couldn't beat the location, out of bed, in the clinic, didn't miss a beat, could even grab a power nap when free for 10 mins.
