Confusion on when to apply, dates

is application to DO schools similar to MD schools in that you have to apply a year earlier? MD schools start to recieve application during June.

However, i looked at PCSOM (Pikeville) dates and they are Feb. 1 for the application. This is way too early.....or is this the Feb 1 in the same year you plan to enter the school? wow i really have a headache!

Hi ,
I think the application processin both MD and DO are same ,however deadline for submissiion of applications in case of DO schools is not until february.
But they always emphasize submitting it as soon as possible as interviews and acceptances are given out on rolling bases and all the open spots may be filled out well before the deadline .I hope it helps
