I feel like I have partly wrong solutions for test 7. strange. i already found 3 quetions that do not match the solutions. here is one more. maybe somebody can help me with this one. #63. It seems that B and D can be right. since passage did not mention about pressure, I thought of B. Also because since there are no friction less force needed to keep tires going and therefore less fuel required. so B is correct. any ideas?

#63 is D. I had it down to B and D too. D seemed logical and there wasn't anything anywhere I thought that gave any indication that fiel efficiency would be changed. Sorry I can't be more helpful, this was one I used POE and a little bit of luck to get. But yeah, the correct answer is D.

Hey, I don't want to start another thread because they're popping up like crazy as it is, but can someone explain 178 to me? I put the right answer down because I know norepinephrine goes with sympathetic system, but why is it IN the blood? I thought the nerve ending would end on the blood vessel, so the norepinephrine should be in the synaptic space outside the blood vessels?

Thanks for any help! 🙂

I put D too because there was no reason tire pressure should change. But I thought maybe B because if the tires slip because the coefficient of friction is low then the fuel efficiency would get worse. Guess not though.

I think that that question was BS. The answer could've been B as well. If a tire has less friction then there is less force opposing the forward motion therefore less energy is wasted and less fuel is required. I think that the MCAT folks sometimes trick themselves out by using double negative statements. They'll probably fix it in the revised version.
