I think it will be up to child's age in a particular case. For example, if a son is old enough to make the best decision I would say he has a priority over his grandparents.
yeah, but here is the thing, the idea here is that you want to find a person who knows the pt best. Even if the person's child is a minor, I don't think that gives the child less priority compared to let's say estranged grandparents who have little idea about their kids, right?
they can make the question tricky to test surrogate decision maker, but as long as we keep in mind that who is the best person who knows the pt best, I think we'll be fine.
Adult children before adult parents. Minor children never.
