I was looking back at old threads it looks like in years when they conduct calls that they do it over 2 days. Maybe that means it’ll be Monday since they’ll have 2 business days?
you’re so right.

I guess theoretically they could do Friday and Monday? That would be incredibly torturous lmao

Does anyone know the stats for NYS residents applying vs accepted? I know they reserve 60 spots for only NYS residents.

I almost wish Cornell (and other schools that don't interview) did what Tufts did this cycle 😭 that way I wouldn't be stressing over getting a call when I could have been cut months ago 😔
How did Tufts do it?

Last year I got my rejection letter from Cornell on Jan 11th. Not sure if they do acceptances first, but just to give last years timeline!
oh my god my bday is on Jan 11.... I hope this doesn't happen to me godddd

How did Tufts do it?
Tufts sent out an email in mid December notifying a group of people who did not move forward in the application process. They'll release decisions in mid February, so it was nice that we didn't just have radio silence from them from September - February.

I feel so bad for the next Cornell hopefuls who will dig through these old threads to get an estimate for their cycle. All they will see is the up and down chaos we made haha
My boss tomorrow: "okay, can you explain to me again why 2-3 year old internet posts caused you to get less than an hour of sleep last night?"
Me: "well...I...guess" my cellphone rings... "sorry, I need to take this, it is either a life changing phone call or my car needs an extended warranty"

Ah, yeah, that is nice. I’m sure I would have been in that first group if Cornell did that 😅

Exotics! (also loved my time at a feline exclusive clinic 👀)
I think feline exclusive clinics are such a great idea! Just out of curiosity, was yours in a pretty urban area? I’ve not seen any in suburban or rural areas, presumably because it’d be harder to build a viable client base there.

We have a couple feline-only clinics in the suburbs near me. That would probably be my backup option if I burn out of shelter med.

The clinic I shadowed at is in a very suburban area (I'm from Metro Detroit)! There's actually a second feline exclusive clinic in the area as well; both are only 10 minutes from my house in opposite directions, which is pretty unique.
