Cornell Residency or is it?

I'm helping my father find a cardiologist. My father calleed one of the cardiologists on the insurance list and asked where he did his fellowship in cardiology. The doctor said Cornell. Just to double check, I went to the AMA website and looked it up myself. It says he did his fellowship in "Cardiovascular Diseases" at "Veteran Affairs Medical Center." This name doesn't sound like it's Cornell affiliated?

I believe that the Manhattan VA Medical Center used to be affiliated with Cornell. Currently, it's a teaching hospital for NYU.

Thanks. By the way, how would you rank the reputation of that training? Cards fellowship at a VA medical center isn't outstanding even if the center was associated with Cornell??
