Does anyone know how much money we get for cost of living (ballpark) from our loans? Will it be enough to cover my living expenses?

I'd assume it'd be enough to cover living on a cheap budget, since I think they assume most students don't work or work enough to produce a sizable income.

What if we have a spouse? Do they still award us some money for cost of living since we will now only have one income in the household? 😕

yep!!! Loans!!! when i applied, worried not get in, after got accepted, now I'm scared when thinking that I'll owe lots of $$$ when finish pharmacy schools (I'm happy though, just you know...scared at the same time===mix feelings..)..I think that they will let us loan enough $$$ for tuition, room and broad and of course some food...Definitely living on tight buget there..which means NO more shopping for me now.. 🙂 (jk===i love buying clearance stuffs)

i know that they base it off of the cost of living in your particular area and they don't care about you losing an income because your fafsa is based off last year's income... but i dont know if they base it off of a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom apartment and where they get the cost of living information.

As I understand it your preliminary amounts are given based on your last years FAFSA. But when you quit your job or otherwise lose income notify your school and they can help you come up with the extra money, even if its just in the form of loans.

I'll be $130,000 in debt when I graduate. $120,000 is from pharmacy school. 🙁
