Hey guys,
I'm new in here and I hope no one thinks this is an inappropriate post, but I thought I'd offer my own experience.

I am post-bacc and paying for my own pre-med schooling, and felt some major sticker-shock when I went to buy my textbooks both last semester and this one.

I guess I just ignored the cost when my parents were paying in undergrad.

Anyway, I just wanted to let anyone know, who didn't already, that places like half.com, bn.com, ebay, of course, and multiple other sites sell tons of newer edition textbooks at very competitive prices.
I personally used half.com and got all my books for about half off!!! They were delivered by the seller in the next day and I received them in about a week.
I have found this is a WAY better way to buy textbooks!!!

Just my two cents. Hope it helps.

It's also a good idea to sell your textbooks back on those kinds of sites cause you can get more than the bookstores give you and still sell at less than their price, usually.
