Hello everybody; I have my DAT in a couple days and I continue to receive not more than 18-19 on Bootcamp PAT, this is equivalent to more than 20 questions wrong which Ari mentions is the cutoff for a 2o. I've been working quite a lot on this but just can't seem to get better with timing, especially keyholes. I am planning on doing all of the BC PAT Tests again, I don't know what else to do. Any advice people? thanks in advance.

Just do the generators and get your timing down. Figure out your strong sections and weak sections. I'm an advocate of skipping your bad section(s) and starting with your strongest. There's really no point in doing all of the exams again. Don't let PAT scare you; the real exam is much more straight forward than Bootcamp.

I appreciate your advice, so I've heard the computers lag for example on the calculator is this true for clicking from one question to the next as well? It shouldn't take long to skip a section correct?

Skipping the first 3 sections won't kill me right? I'd rather get 30/30 for HP and Cubes and get through folding. TFE and keyholes I'm not terrible at though just would like to spend more time on it and make sure I am getting them right
Depends. That's what I was planning on doing but after rapidly clicking through the first two I noticed it took a full 1 or 2 seconds to fully load the next question. It was rapid fire like it was for Bootcamp. I've heard others say it wasn't an issue for them and clicked through very quickly. Might just come down to your testing center

I had no issue at all. It took like 10 seconds to skip 15 questions.

Practice doing it and see how it goes. Should only take ~30 seconds or so to skip around. You just cannot forget to review and finish the rest though lol

I just took the 2007 PAT and got 22 wrong what do you all think about that? is that a good sign? It wasn't as horrifying as BC. Let me know what your experience says

The 2007 exam is really outdated and not on par with the difficulty of the exam nowadays. It's way too easy. The 2009 exam is as close as you can get.

I was consistently hitting 19 on the PAT for bootcamp. I got a 20 once I think, and just took the test today and got a 21 on PAT. Just like everyone says, focus on your weaknesses...practice practice practice, and you will do alright. I have always hear BC is slightly harder than the real test and thats how it felt for me

thank you for your input, it's definitely good to hear that!

I didn't "skip" anything but I half heartily blasted through keyholes cause screw that section lol. I rather spend 1 minute making sure I got all the cubes versus trying to figure out keyholes that don't fit.
