I'm a premed student who has a decent gpa from an ivy league college. My major worry is that I have three grades of "withdraw" on my transcript. Two of these withdrawals were during the spring of my sophomore year, when I was hospitalized for serious health problems, and had to petition the college administration to withdraw from these courses becuase I had missed so much class. None of these withdrawals were in premed classes. I also took two voluntary leaves of absence, one partly through into a semester, to help work and support my family, which was in financial turmoil becasue my dad had lost his job. Given the reasons for these aspects of my academic background, do you think any of this will be seen in a negative light by med schools?
