I apologize if this has been asked before, but what is the consensus on pass/fail for premed classes? My school is now giving the option to convert any passing grade to a “pass” at the end of the semester.

Let’s say a B would lower your gpa, (and how I understand it, a pass has no effect) would it be worth it? Or is it generally not advised?

Thanks!

This question has been asked before, a lot! You can search for old questions on this forum. But, the answer is that almost all med schools are accepting pass fail. So, if a B is going to lower your overall GPA, go to pass. If it is going to raise it, keep the B.
