I just saw a long term patient. Her family all got Covid and all of her family had diffuse aches etc as expected.
However, She had a paradoxical reaction in that all of her pain went away for a week and then returned to baseline after her Covid. She is s/p cervical fusion, RFA, also has cervical myofascial pain.

Have any of you seen this Covid response in your patients?

the ones i have asked - no.

except in the acute phase when they to a one all stated they thought they were going to die from the severe body aches.

during that phase, their chronic pain was not an issue.

Did she get monoclonal antibodies? I saw a lot of anecdotal reports about MABs helping chronic pain
