Does your credit score have a huge impact on your eligibility for private medical school loans (above the cost of living schedule set by the school?) I am trying to find one that will not need a cosigner.

Also, where can I find private loans with good deals (like THE private loans?)

Yes it will, you usually need at least a 630 or even higher. With the new credit regulations in place (read in the finance forum) scores will take a hit if you have limited credit.

With that said, usually as long as you have decent credit and no bankruptcies or lates you should be pretty safe. You can get an idea of your credit score from places like experian.com, equifax.com, myfico.com etc. Planning doesn't hurt.

Usually med students don't have a hard time getting money either ;)

Private loan good deals? Anything tied to libor, its historically lower than prime, and its the way to go. Nelnet had some good loans we took out. There are tons of them. http://www.finaid.org/ is a great resource.
