Just curious how long it takes them to start the whole interview process. I have submitted everything and have been told I am complete. Has anyone been invited to interview yet or are they just slow in the process? Thanks a lot.

I was complete there on 9/20 and still have not heard from them. They were a little slow in sending out their secondary, so I am not really surprised that I haven't heard anything yet. I think waiting is the worst part of this whole process.

I'm complete at Creighton also and still waiting for an interview.

Anyone incomplete like me?

Nope I think you're the only one. 😉

MechE where else are you applying?

They won't start interviewing for another three weeks or so... and they keep going into April. Patience! 😉

I struggle with being patient...that's definately the hardest part about this whole process.

I had my secondary complete a bazillion years ago and they just sent me the email saying I was complete. We'll probably all interview next March! 🙂

We just started interviewing last Friday. Usually the first few weeks are just Creighton students.

I am interviewing there on 12/9. Maybe I will know before Christmas. Does anyone know how often they meet?

Thanks Roo! Nice of you to drop in and give the info!

Now, I got an invite to interview at Creighton and I'm seriously thinking wether to take on the invite or not. If that was my first interview, hey, I wouldn't even think twice. However, at this point I've been blessed to have a single acceptance (probably not my top choice though). I was thinking of turning down this invite but I just read about all these good things that you guys have to say about Creighton. Any ideas please......thanks people.

I was complete at Creighton on 9/16 and received my interview invite about 2 weeks ago. I scheduled the interview for Jan 6.

Gentle, I too had an acceptance prior to my invite and decided to go. I was really impressed! It was the epitome of what I was looking for in a medical school: an adminstration that values student input/participation, a cadre of students who truly want to see EVERYONE succeed, a great mentoring program between M1's and M2's, nice facilities, and a more casual atmosphere (and I was there 2 days before the final anatomy practical). It really suited my personality. I talked with my faculty interviewer about Omaha cultural life and was impressed to hear about the new performing arts center, the caliber of the zoo (I have a kid) and the shopping districts. I never thought I would consider Omaha to be a place where I would live, but I am considering it. Of course, they have to consider me first!

If you have the $$$ I would go. Now that you have an acceptance you can move from "I will go wherever I get accepted" to thinking "Is there a school out there that best fits my personality and my vision of what med school should be like."

gdbaby,
Thanks a whole lot for ur input. I'll think hard about that one... 🙂
