Creighton Med

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
They renovated the medical school last year, and expanded their research facilities. The students there seemed to be very relaxed and happy. The tuition is expensive though, around $38K or so. They accepted many students from their university. If you plan going to Creighton, you need to have a car. There are very limited transportations.

Anyone know if the waitlist is moving for Creighton yet?? I know last year it started moving around the end of May. As for the school, I loved it. It's my top out of state school. People were super nice, city, although not the greatest, had many things you can do there and the rent is dirt cheap. Also, like the previous poster said, they've built new research facilities and are renovating existing ones.

Any other insight?

I spoke with the admissions office yesterday and I was told that the list has not started moving yet (due to illness of a couple adcom members), but within the next week or two, they will begin pulling people off of the list.

Got the same response. By the way Birdie I think they are really on top of things supper organized. It is actually my number one school. They follow up and call. They have been great with the waitlist thing. It is like they know how emotionally taxing it can be.

On the supplemental application it asks if your going to have Creighton alumni write on your behalf ... Does it matter if you don't know any one who went there when you apply?

I spoke to a couple of people re Creighton....

Looks as if at least one spot will open and the waitlist will get shorter by one.

Keep hope alive!
