Creighton
Pros:
  • Close to home
  • New building -- excellent facilities
  • A little bit cheaper
Cons:
  • Larger class size
  • Dress code
  • Not sure what Omaha has to offer (in any free time)
Utah
Pros:
  • Huge # of clinical hours
  • 100% specialty placement rate
  • Outdoors
  • Pass/Fail
Cons:
  • Limited contact with students at interview -- hard to tell what they thought of it
  • Newer dental school
Harvard
Pros
  • Medicine aspect
  • Name -- Get into specialty
  • Pass/Fail
  • Small class size and class closeness
  • Boston
Cons
  • Lots of classroom time - not much clinical first two years
  • Pressure/attitude (cut throat?)

Out of your choices, I like Creighton and Utah. I would probably go with Creighton out of those just because it has been around a long time and the students get some incredible experience there. That said, Utah is an excellent program as well, it just hasn't been around as long.

I don't know all that much about Harvard, but the only reason I would choose to attend there is if I had an alternative career goal (research, PhD, education...).

These are opinions based on my career goals - you haven't provided yours so I won't make assumptions.

I’m biased because I love the outdoors and would pick Utah.

If you 100% want to specialize then I guess Harvard. But the students capable of getting into Harvard are the ones who could specialize from any school.

Wait, is Utah pass/fail? I thought Roseman was but not University of Utah. Did this change recently?
