It's that time of the year again, when ERAS is open. I'm applying for pulmonary/critical care fellowships, and noticed that some of the programs also have purely critical care. I was wondering if applying to just critical care is more competitive compared to pulmonary/critical care? Any thoughts or experience with this?

Pure CC is much less competitive, or at least it has been historically. Mount Sinai CC is like 70% IMGs, for example.

Interesting... I know it's open to emergency medicine residents with a few months of inpatient internal medicine exposure. I was looking around at quite a few combined pulmonary/critical care programs, and still see lots of IMGs nonetheless.
