So I was hoping if the people on SDN could critique my list. Here's my info:

Biochem Major
MI resident (but when to a private school out of the state for college)
cGPA: 3.90
sGPA: 3.93
MCAT: 36R (10V,14BS, 12PS)
ECs: Lots of volunteering, research (1 pending pub), shadowing, lots of tutoring/TAing, some non-medical volunteering, some non-medical leadership.

Here's my list, I tried to do a good mix of reaches, matches, and safeties. I've done my research on these places and really like them all, but just wanted to know if I'm too top heavy since 8 of the schools on my list of 20 have a median verbal score of 11.

U of Michigan
Case Western
U of Pittsburgh
Yale
Mt. Sinai
Ohio State
U of Virginia
U of Cincinnati
MC Wisconsin
Virginia Commonwealth
Wake Forest
U of Rochester
Einstein
Boston
Temple
Penn State
Jefferson
Loyola
Wayne State
Michigan State

Thanks!

I think you will likely get into Wayne State.

Remember a median verbal score of 11 means they likely accepted some students with verbal score below 11, so I think you will be fine.

It looks like a pretty good list as long as you would be happy at all of those schools.

You definitely have a good mix of schools and don't seem too top heavy. A few more safety or mid-tier schools could never hurt though. With your stats and your ECS, shadowing, etc., you def could get into any school in the country.

OP the MSAR will give the 10-90th percentile range for accepted students' verbal scores. 8 could still fall within that range depending on the school, however, don't confuse median with mean. If 100 students are accepted and 49 of them have 14 on the verbal and 51 have 11s, the median is 11. See what I mean?
