This group is lobbying to repeal the CDC guidelines.

Imagine if the CDC guidelines were repealed. Would doctors still follow them anyway? Has there ever been a precedent for repealing a clinical guideline? If one adheres to a clinical guideline that is repealed are you "not following guidelines?"

Or, if guidelines are voluntary, ie no legal basis, does it even matter?

That just shows how scared docs are and how these guidelines are being followed as though they are the law

Most of these organizations are astroturf fake pressure groups funded and organized by Big Pharma.

Not true, go on Social media (Twitter is an easier one because most of the 100's of Chronic Pain FB sites arenprivate/closed) & read a bit about WHO is behind this....GRASSROOTS !

Hopefully CDC and everyone involved are prepared for this inevitable blowback.

Let's hope not, these guidlines need repealing. .... The FDA WOULDN'T enact them when PROP shopped their studies to them a year before going to the CDC

Fixed it for the National Pain Report trolls here...

Yeah, because everyone knows that there is no such thing as an Intractable Pain Patient, they just need to meditate and use biofeedback, as it's all anxiety relater and in their heas, right ?

Newsflash: Doctors don't write the laws and regulations. The Feds do. We just follow them.

Go b**ch at the Feds (and at the people abusing the rules and regs) if you don't like it. Call your congressman, President, state and Federal DEA. Anyone complaining about this stuff to the doctors, is wasting their time. We're at the mercy of the rule makers as much as the patients.
