Cruise Ship Dentist!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It looks like it would be a tight program but after looking ta it for a while maybe not. The overhead cost of the program is around $140-150. If you add this uo to a 7 days cruise it comes out to around $1000. This is almost the cost of a cruise, and when you throw in the fact that you are probably getting a ****ty inside cabin, as well as working 20 hours a trip or more its not such a great deal. One exception woulkd be if you had a wife and a kid or two, becuase then you would be saving a lot of money, but if traveling alone, forget it.

The site strikes me as being really amateurish, and it doesn't really seem like such a great deal. I mean, you are easily gonna be able to find a cruise for around that price. Plus, there's that $995 one-time, non-refundable "initiation" fee. So, if you go on two, one-week cruises you've paid ~$2500 for each trip AND donated ~$2000 (40 hrs.) in free dental care to the cruise line. And what's more, I'm sure you're still expected to cover port fees and gratuities. Kinda sounds like a scam to me.

yeah, i totally agree.... i just thought it was interesting!
