Hi,

It's getting pretty close to mcats (a month away) and I know I won't have time to study that much. Should I try to do the Lesson 2 and Lesson 3 topicals for bio, gchem, phys, organic or should i venture to just taking Full lenghts wheenver i have the time? Anyone w/ similar experience?

Go w/ the full-lengths. The topicals are useful and neuron-activating, but to make best use of your time, stick w/ the full lengths. Some of the topical stuff is a bit "out there" whereas the full length tests are a more accurate representation of what you'll see on test day. Good luck! 🙂

Full lengths for timing and endurance.

here's what i would do:
take full lengths on the weekend, maybe one on saturday, one on sunday. that will get you like 8 exams by the time the exam comes up.
during the week practice the topics you missed on the full length by studying and doing those topical tests.
makes sense to me... that's what i've been doing more or less

can't believe it was this time last year that i was in your shoes! i would do full-lengths just for the endurance (like most others have mentioned). topicals are good if you only have a couple of hours.

keep at it! it all pays off in the end 🙂 although it may seem like you are stuck in hell for the next month. don't forget to take some time for yourself (nice dinners, naps, massages, etc). good luck!

Full lengths for sure. I'm convinced that I did well on the MCATs because I made myself take lots of full length practice tests under test-like conditions. G-luck.

I'd definitely go with schoolboy's...except I would take no more than one full-length over the weekend. A full-length on Saturday, and perhaps do half of a 2nd full-length on Sunday. The weekend after that, do 3rd full-length on Saturday, and complete the 2nd full-length on Sunday...or something like that. You don't want to wear yourself out too much (like I almost did...I lost ~7-10pounds over the last two-three months of studying). I still did well, but it took me forever to recover from that!

Also, I'm sure you've heard this many times, but I'll say it again...don't forget to shut everything down at least 3 days before D-Day. The only MCAT-related thing I did during those last three days was wake up early in the morning and do 2 verbal passages.

Other than that, I tried to relax...find an activity like teaching a Viennese mountain chicken Sanskrit(sp?) or drinking out of a firehose or watching a movie (may I suggest a few classics such as Grease II, Sister Act II, or Xanadu)...just kidding...although I heard drinking out of a firehose is quite fun!

Ron: Who are you going with then?
Fred: Angelina
Ron: What? You've already asked her?
Fred: Good point! Oi! Anglina! Want to come to the ball with me? 😀
