Hey,
I am in desperate need of help with my list, I feel it's a little top heavy. My stats:
Bio major at an SEC school
white female
3.97 cGPA
3.95-ish sGPA (not about to calculate it, but it's between a 3.9 and a 4.0)
36 MCAT (12PS/11VR/13BS)
250 hours of clinical volunteering in the same office. All happened in one summer though, so I don't know if that hurts
50 hours of shadowing an internal medicine doctor
175 hours of volunteer tutoring through an academic mentoring program in my sorority
200 hours of volunteering (in college) for an organization I helped found in high school. It's a nonprofit leadership development organization for a diverse group of high school students. Did work with organizing meetings, finding speakers, helping them apply to college/ scholarships/ etc
President of my school's biological honors society
Greek letter organization, where I've held several leadership positions
Was a summer counselor where I was in charge of 30 ish high school students taking college classes on campus. Had to lead group activities with them everyday, make sure they didn't die
Have been doing pharmacy research for over a year now, and am currently writing my thesis. I have my own project and have helped out with several others. No authorship yet or presentations. I feel my research is the weakest part of my resume.
Received a Spanish award from my school's modern languages department
Currently working as a medical records assistant in an ENT clinic
Recommendations should be swell
I'm hoping to get at least one more shadowing experience before I submit.
