I was recently placed on HOLD at CWRU after my interview and Case is my first choice. If anyone has been accepted to Case after being placed on Hold and has some advice to share, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! - luw

I was accepted off the hold into CWRU. My advice is to get to know the people in the admissions office. Call once a week, send in more letters of rec, send in updated grades, and it doesn't hurt to stop by and see if you can talk to Dr. Kirby personally. Hope this helps.

Doesn't calling once a week seem like borderline harassment? Perhaps later in the season around May 15thish when the waiting list movement begins, it wouldn't be unusual....

I've been on 'hold' for awhile, and I've just been writing letters.

I wrote a letter of interest after getting the hold letter (Novmber) and emailed Dr, Kirby yesterday asking for an update. He wrote back saying "There has been no further action on your application. You will hear by mid April."

The hold letter specifically said "don't call the office" so I haven't been. I hope that isn't hurting me... 😕

When did you interview/get the acceptance?

I was told by my interviewer to keep updating my file at Case (classes I took, activities, publications, etc.) if i was placed on hold. He said that Dr. Kirby really likes students who show that Case really is #1 in their list.
