CT Anesthesia Fellowship without USMLE Step 3?

Full disclosure: asking for my husband because I stress out about things 1-2 months before he does.

I'm looking at the CAS prerequisites for CT anesthesia, and they ask for USMLE Step 3 scores (and CS pass/fail). He is a DO. Scored >250 on USMLE Steps 1 and 2, but didn't do CS or Step 3. He passed the PE and did well on the COMLEX. Does this preclude him from matching?

He should focus on whatever exams he still needs to pass to get licensed as a physician. That's what will preclude him for getting any job, not just fellowship. Also, he will not be boarded by the ABA without a full unrestricted (not training) license in at least one state.

I doubt anybody cares that a DO does not have Step 3, as long as otherwise licensable. The Step 1 and 2 scores, and Basic written exam/ITE percentile matter much more.

Submit his COMLEX Part 3 scores, that's all that he needs.
