For those of you out there that are dentist or dental students. Do you know if it is illegal for your assistant to take X-ray on a patient without an X-ray license. Thank you very much

I was a dental assistant for 2 years and this is what I have found: It depends on what state you are in. For example in Arkansas, yes technically but no one says anything. Plus, now to get the license the dentist just signs a sheet saying you're competent and mails it in. In Missouri, no it's not illegal. So you just really need to check with you state.
