with the saturation and a bad 2018 for pharmacy, how will pharmacists already in the field fare? Will wages go down or people get forced out for cheaper labor? What is your prediction?

Well, there's going to be a retail shakedown within the next couple of months in MSP (MPhA grousing). As far as hospitals go, no one is quitting, only Abbott Northwestern "was" hiring due to some expansion. Greater Minnesota continues to see closures due to Obamacare issues with MNCare (bluntly, because of the underfunding of the MNCare plan, reimbursement rates have fallen beneath the breakeven rate for most rural pharmacies). If the rumor is true about a regional chain in the area, there will be 90 more RPhs looking for jobs on top of the 60 that Shopko put out of business here. I think so based on that companies soft closures to Walgreens without getting into under the table knowledge.And then UMN graduates their next class in May...

And there's something about "special" that's going to happen to the VA VISN 23 pharmacists as well as the Commissioned Corps in this area, but that surprise is worth waiting for :;.

No, not in MN. MN is a very insular market where you have to know people to get hired particularly in hospital. That was even during the shortage age.
