You can apply for the OOS scholarship, which gives you 25k/year, but its fairly limited in how many people get it. You could otherwise defer for a year, get Michigan residency, and then get in state, I think. I'd ask a specialist about the latter, but you'd save a big chunk of cheese that way, if it matters to you.
