I volunteer at a hospital right now in pediatric patient care. Would volunteering at a hospice for the summer be a good experience?

Wouldn't hurt. I would also add some shadowing

If you feel that it would be beneficial to shaping you as an individual, then yes, but if you're only doing it to add another place to your list, then no.

Absolutely. Hospice is great. If it is an inpatient facility, I would highly recommend that you just go and talk to people. One of my most fond memories was in hospice as a med student. I had an elderly gentleman tell me all these stories about how he met his wife and asked her to marry him. Makes you remember that these are people, not diseases.
