The best player is that LB from ND and it isn't really even close. Second best player is Tavon Austin. I don't even know who this Maziel dude even is.

Well, don't ya think you should "find out who he is" before saying the race isn't even a close call??? Might surprise you...especially for a frosh.

Dude isn't even an all-American. (Though the thought of Tajh Boyd as a first team all American makes me laugh being that he effing sucks.) This Margarine guy probably plays in some overrated conference or something. Or Notre Dame.

SPEAKING OF WHICH -- congrats to whoever gets to play Notre Dame in the fake championship. What a load of horse ****. Oregon and Kansas State could beat any of the "top" teams. Yet they have no shot at the title. Kansas State played a tougher schedule than anyone, yet somehow their single loss rates them below three hilariously overrated SEC teams with a single loss. Another year, another sham. Just like Okie Light last year. That stupid quasi-legit playoff can't get here soon enough. Some day an all inclusive conference champion tourney will get here and the real champ will be named. One can hope, anyway.

And for the second year in a row, I'm not watching the fake championship because, frankly, the best team won't even be playing.

If you haven't heard of him you will. If you haven't seen him play then you have missed out on some unbelievable stuff. As a college football fan, and if you are, you would appreciate what Johnnyfootball has done this year. But if you will only remain as a wvu fan then it's what it is.

JF broke 40 year old Archie Mannings SEc record then broke his new record again soon after,as a.frosh.

He also broke Cam Newtons record which took.14 games in.12 games. And Tebows also.

And he's 19.

Scoobie is great, but he lost twice. Manti should win it. Besides all of those crooner voters would never vote for a frosh.

Baylor lost some yet RGIII still won.

Baylor lost some yet RGIII still won.

All of his competitors lost games too. And I'm not saying losing rules you out but if your competition hasn't then it certainly makes a voter wonder why one player should be voted over another.

Lol. Still waiting for obama to fix this. But he is all about eliminating inefficiencies in healthcare instead. I would think having an actual system would generate a pretty large economic impact!

Are we talking about this guy:

---------------------

One player this year put up like 570 all purpose yards in a single game. If it wasn't for some random dude playing for some crap school playing against some crap school, it would have been the greatest offensive game in all the history of college football. Just considering big boy, BCS level football...it was just flat out the most dominating performance in the history of relevant college football. This dude got over 300 yards of rushing...it was the first time he had ever lined up at RB in his career. Plus over 100 yards receiving. And it was against a top 10 team.

But nobody talks about it, it seems. But that dude is the best player in college football. I don't give a fudge what anyone else has done.

What video are you talking about??

But holy moly....JF wins.O'Brien...Joekel wins Outlander and Manning commits to A&M.

Christmas comes early..

I just want to leave this here for owle...

I saw some videos.

His running is okay, but not nearly as good as Pat White or Shoelace...though better than Tebow or Cam Newton. About as good as that Juice dude from Illinois a few years back. He has an arm I'd consider serviceable. Really don't see what the big deal is to be honest. I know the SEC homers probably think the kid is a god, but they don't know what offense is in that conference, so I shouldn't be surprised when an above average player wins the Heisman for simply being above average.

Best players were Lee from USC and Austin from WVU.

This dude will be a pro-bowler:

Tavon Austin's season highlight reel would be too long. I'll just post what he did against the best team on his schedule. It just so happened to be the greatest offensive performance in the history of modern college football, but everyone else is too ****ing stupid to realize it.

Of course you have a team that is total ass playing the champion of the most overrated conference year in year out for the fake championship. Just like every year.

I'm pretty much considering the winner of the Oregon-Kansas St game as the real fake national champion.

That playoff (which is still fraudulent being that its only 4 teams in a league of 120+ teams) can't come soon enough.

One good game as a RB and a decent stat as a WR for a 7-5 team...and a senior.

How many 500+ yards games did he have?

Oh yeah....he deserves it.

Marquis Lee will definately be a pro-bowler. I hold season tickets for Utah and watching him vs us and throughout the year....that kid WAS USC's offense. I bet Robert Woods is kicking himself for not going into the draft last year.

One game ever as a RB and he got 350+ yards. (and, again, this is against a top 10 team). They just threw him out there as a RB for the hell of it. And he played 60% of the snaps at WR. They literally ran 3 running plays with him. It was all him. They couldn't stop him.

Team record doesn't matter. It's not his fault Holgorsen's dumb ass fire the great defensive coaching staff at WVU to hire his drinking buddies (who he is now firing as I type...lesson learned...)

And class definitely doesn't matter. If it weren't for Slaton, Devine, and Sanders, he'd have had the road cleared in front of him to be the focus of the offense as a Freshman. It's not his fault WVU has more offensive depth than whatever team whatshisname plays for (I've already forgotten his name). That's what happens when you go and play for a superior program, unfortunately. You have to wait your turn.

And, yes, he does deserve it...because he is the best amateur football player in the United States. Name one player that can change a game like Tavon Austin. I'll save you the time, you can't. His highlight reel from ONE GAME is more impressive than anyone else's season highlight tape. AND he had to share the ball with Hines Ward clone Stedman Bailey at WR who got like 1500 yards receiving with 21 TDs and was a Bilitnikof finalist.

That's the game though. The best player never wins the Heisman. Nice talk, though.

How sad Mikey that you're so.blinded with wvu shades.that you can't be impressed with anyone unless it's a wvu player. You epitomize homerism. Or as some say "hater gonna hate."

Austin was Heisman worthy today against Syracuse! Sheesh!

He was the only dude on the team that played well. They didn't run him at RB all day, though. Pissed me off. The snow and the Mike Leech Air Raid system don't go well together. Is what it is....oh well. Thankfully, the future semi-real championships will be played in warm weather or controlled conditions.

That's about it for college football for me. The only game I care about that remains is Oregon vs Kansas State. Or as I like to call it, "The game between the two best teams in the country."

I also look for Alabama to get cheated hardcore on Monday. They have that death crew from the Pac 12 with the bespeckled dork of a head ref that just straight up cheats teams from the other 3 power conferences when possible. Not that I'm going to watch or particularly care who wins.

That's fine. You two are SEC homers. I expect as much. Generally, the dumbest fans in the country are SEC fans.

Again, show me a more dominant performance than Tavon Austin against Oklahoma. Show it to me. Do it. I'll save you some time and give you a hint. You might throw out Tommy Frazier in the 95 Fiesta Bowl or Vince Young in the fake championship a few years back. An those only count because of the stage the performance was on. If you just look at the raw stats, how the player changed the game single-handedly, and how badly the player outclassed every defender on the field that day...you will not find a better offensive performance in a long, long time than what Tavon Austin did to Oklahoma in 2012.

Feel free to fail in proving me wrong.

Didn't realize 1 game performance was all that was needed to win the Heisman.

Hell....give it to him then..

That was just his best game. He played well in every other game, too. But that single game was that "signature performance" these types of athletes generally need to have to win
awards.

This game cracks me up. #3 team...lmfao....barely beat ul Lafayette at home...getting stomped by the 3 way tie champ of the big east.

Kinda like WVU Clemson last year.

I thought you said you was done with football this season except uo ksu.

werent there about 10 wr with more ypg and 20 wr with more ypc than austin? not sure how you can.say.hes the best football player in the nation. before you call anyone a.homer..i think.you should study a mirror.

WVU runs massive amounts of screens to Austin, plus that flip pass thing they do. Yards per isn't his game. It's being dominant as hell. Wr/rb/kr/pr. He's not the best WR on his team. That's Stedman Bailey. He is, however, the best football player in the country and the most dangerous with a football in his hands. Show me a player that is more dominant with the ball in his hands. There isn't one. He's so damn good every team from Texas on didn't even kickoff to him. Every team started sqibbing them. Like quarterbacks back in the day that didn't even throw it Deion Sanders way.

He had 100+ more yards rushing and 4 more ypc than the hypeman trophy winner against the same opponent. More total yards, too.

If you watched the kid you'd believe.

Is also like to congratulate the Oregon Ducks on their first Mnc. (Mike National championship.)

Oh...you wanna play this common opponent game?

Bama destroyed Ole Miss. Ole Miss destroyed Pitt. ND barely beat Pitt in OT.

Bama wins!!

You can't be serious Mikey.

Yes, I'm a homer for A&M and USC. But what Manziel did this year is phenomenal.

He led the SEC in rushing. AS a freshman QB. He broke Cam Newton's mark by 700 yards in 1 less game. He set the all time FCS bowl game rushing yard record by a QB.

And the top 2 Big 12 teams (conference champions) got embarrassed by non champions of Pac12 and SEC. Heck...A&M was #5 in the SEC.

And the so called the upgrades to the Big12 (TCU and WVU) didn't fare so well...both in the bowl games and the season. Just saying.

And no...Heisman isn't strictly an individual effort. It takes a team for that special player to perform at that level. That's why a player from a 7-6 team will probably never win the trophy.

Get over your butthurt.

Anything that involves Pitt doesn't count.

As for what's his name...hey, that's great, I'm sure he'll do great things in his career. But Tavon Austin is still the best football player in America. Hell, Geno Smith is about to be the #1 draft pick and I'm talking about Tavon Austin. I think Geno Smith is average as hell compared to Austin.

For the record, I hope Alabama wins because ND people are all over the Northeast and are actually more annoying than Pitt fans (I hate them less, though...naturally). I just think ND will win because those ****ers just luck into situations like having Glasses Mc****face from the Pac 12 officiating the game.

This year's top QB in the draft means very little. Not like last year with Luck, RGIII, RS, and Tannehill.

And the fact a freshman QB winning the Heisman should tell you it was a poor year for QBs in the NFL draft.

And if Tavon Austin was so good, why wasn't he voted higher?

You know what would be fun?

To see a relay style football bowl game. A la 4 x 100 swimming freestyle in the olympics.

Each team plays a quarter. And you carryover the points, time-outs, etc.

What the hell kind of stupid idea is that....you on drugs?

To even the field we will put 25 lb ankle weights on Johnny football and only allow him to rush after 5 mississippis

Just woke up and turned on the TV. Ha ha ha. Suck my ass, Domers. I hate those *******s. Glad a West Virginia boy is now the most dominant head coach in a long, long time.

Word. I had fun watching that carnage and the incredulous looks on Domers fans' faces when they realized their team doesn't do so hot when they have to play a true top team.
