Path Gurus,

Can someone give some basic info on fellowships in cytopath and heme path?

Are they as competitive as dermpath? What type of work is involved on a day-to-day basis (is cytopath constantly reading pap smears, is heme path reading blood smears, is it the same as blood banking)?

Does having a fellowship in one of these fields make you significantly more employable?

Both very interesting fields in my opinion. Both would help in the job market. Neither is nearly as hard as getting a Dermpath fellowship.

Hematopath and blood banking are two seperate sub-specialties.
