D.O.'s Doing well on boards but still were unable to obtain desired allo?

are there any d.o.'s out there who did the best they possibly could in med school (i.e. top 5%, rocked the hell out of USMLE's) and still felt like they were limited in the allopathic world in whatever specialty they desired? please tell ure stories, and what you would advise to me, an incoming ms1.

I'm sure there are. My advice is to hit the bboks hard and do the best that you can.
