in an ideal intercuspal position, when the mandible makes a right lateral excursion, mesiolingual cusp of permanent maxillary right first molar opposes the
1. sulcus bet mesiofacial and distofacial cusps of mandi first molar
2 sulcus bet distofacial and distal cusps of mandi first molar
3. embrassure bet mandi first molar and mandi second pre molar
4. sulcis bet lingual cusps of mandi first molar
5. embrassure bet mandi first and second molar

Cud someone explain this!

Many thanks!

Hi Incisor girl n Venkat, thanks for the answers.
I was havn both of them as my answers too but the key says differently.

n in the DA question, wat happens on the non-working side?

many thanks!

from wher did u post these questions?
if they are from ada papers,we need to rethink about ur answers...............

plz do reply and let us know...

a,c and d would be the right answer.

this is cause all fibers of temporalis basically cause elevation of mandible.if we study about each individual fibers,

anterier portion- they contract to cause elevation of the mandible
middle portion- contraction will cause elevation and retrusion of the mandible.
posterior portion-elevation and slight retrusion.

hence the above choice being correct.
