I just took the GC section and this is one of two that I got wrong. I said that the volume of a mole of gas is 22.4 liters. Is that not right?

The answer is the volume of a mole of gas is inversely proportional to pressure and directly proportional to Kelvin temperature.. well I know this is true, but only at constant volume

I think they should have specified what is constant.

They did not tell you that the volume of a mole of gas is 22.4 liter at ONE atm, did they?! You either assumed that ( You can not ) or you did not pay attention !
Always go with the BEST answer.
