How many of you agree with me?
Dat is much easier than MCAT considering that it doesn't have Physics and writing section. Also, if you ever look at the science section in MCATs, they gave you a short passage and than with a couple of questions to answer And DAT is just plain multiple Choice with no passages <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" /> . As a pre-dent student, I felt kinda bad for our fellow Pre-meds at the same time thank god that our test format is easier.

It depends on the person. Yes it is a relief there is no physics, but we still have to take it for a year. Also, the MCAT is more verbal oriented (no wonder why the Verbal score is the most important). Reading small passages and understanding the material within the exam is helpful. For us, we have to know everything and granted multiple choice answers are easier, it is a long road to study though. Also, the PAT isn't for everyone. Some people can't look at a computer screen for 4.5 hours and get by, let alone try to solve "puzzles" mentally. Yikes...2 months...

Also, the MCAT people can underline and write all over their exam. They might have a physics part, but we have a quantitative reasoning part..much easier, but still math, eh?

I found the DAT much easier than the MCAT, hence my scores: 31 on the MCAT and 23/23 on the DAT!

When I studied for DAT, I used some Princeton MCAT Review materials for the Organic Chem. section! I was reading some of the MCAT passages, pppssssssssssss...let's just put it this way....I was glad that I wasn't taking that exam!

If MCAT was the exam that I had to take for dental schools or if I was diehard pre-med, yeah, there's no doubt in my mind that I would've bust my ass off to study and aim to do well, but from what I saw....MCAT SUCKED!!! DAT is not easy, but MCAT SUCKED worse!!!

Well, I guess it all depends on the person. But for me, DAT is much better to deal with. I was in the MCAT forum, people were saying like taking Analytical Chem, Biochem and etc. as "hidden" courses for MCATs. I was getting worried and looked at the MCAT exam, it was very tricky. For those never look at the MCATs, look at, it'll make you feel much better that you don't need to take it. Overall, MCAT is tricky. DAT is quite straight forward, just like any other Multiple Choice exam you would take in a regular bio/chem course. For those who can't sit in front of computer for 4.5 hours :p , practice is the key, try to sit in front of pc for the whole day play a game or practice software DAT. :D
