Hello everyone. I am pretty sure this question has popped up numerous times, however I would like to ask it again. If I take DAT for the second time and apply to dental schools again, do they look at you best scores or take the average?

The thing is, I got 19 on my DAT, and I did poorly on my sciences: GC: 19 Bio: 17 O.Chem: 16. The problem is that I am not doing so well with my GPA, it's 3.2. I was wondering, If I will do really good on DAT, like 25 or up on sciences, and overall. Will it outweigh my GPA?

Yea it would. That's why people with low GPA aim for high DAT to balance it out. Shows schools you have potential even though you messed up on your undergrad. Just retake it and study hard gl.

If you score a 25 your second time around, it will be weighed heavily because schools will see that you've made a huge improvement. Scoring that 25 is the hard part. 😉
